Nursing Clinical Effectiveness Committee (NCEC)

The purpose of the NCEC is to facilitate RCH-specific evidence-based practice through the development and maintenance of nursing guidelines. The committee meets the first Thursday each month, February - December, from 1:30pm - 2:30pm to review new and existing nursing guidelines. Membership from each area is requested, with an expectation that all members are active. Chairs of the NCEC are Fiona Newall, Sharon Kinney and Stacey Richards.

Nursing Research Networking Group (NRNG)

The Nursing Research Networking Group (NRNG) is an interest group which aims to empower and raise the profile of nurses interested in research through support, mentorship, education, collaboration and fostering of innovation. The chairs of NRNG are: Sharon Kinney and Tania Ramos.

 NRNG Objectives:

• Support & Mentorship: To support the development of nurses conducting research at the Melbourne Children's Campus.
• Education & Development: To facilitate access to development and educational opportunities for nurses interested in research at the Melbourne Children’s Campus.
• Networking & Events: To coordinate the annual Nursing Research and Clinical Innovations Symposium.
• Collaboration of Nursing Research: To enable collaboration of nurses undertaking research within and beyond the campus.

Procedural Holding Research and Education Committee (PHREC)

The purpose of PHREC is to coordinate research and education activities related to procedural holding within the RCH. Membership is multidisciplinary and reports to the Reducing Restrictive Interventions Working Group. Chairs of PHREC are Jenny O'Neill and Stacey Richards.
